Optunia is a family of lighting fixtures, featured in the table version (with and without stem), floor, wall and hanging. Its functionality lies in the ability to rotate the two discs that make up the head of about 360 degrees, giving rise to an extraordinary number of light combinations. The lower disc rotates around an axis and at the same time the top disc rotates around a second axis, perpendicular to the first one. This dual movement allows Optunia to enclose both the characteristics of a direct-emission light bulb, as well as an indirect light emitting lamp that uses the wall or ceiling to produce a soft light. To its functionality, it adds a design that resembles a form in the nature: the two discs remind the blades of the ficus-indica (fig-india) opal, whose lamp also carries the name. A family of exceptionally technical lighting fixtures, whose shape is further underlined by its color variants: opaque, graphite and clean white, a dark mirror chrome that recalls the preciousness of the metal, and a dark shade, onyx, a quartz whose color ranges from dark brown to black.
